BGI EcoTech AG, Kassel, separated from its environmental and engineering division on 31st December 2008. The purchaser of this business segment is the Dienstleistungsgesellschaft für Bauen, Umwelt und Consulting mbH (DiBaUCo), based in Eichenau. The two parties have agreed to maintain secrecy about the purchasing price. “We made this decision for strategic reasons,” said the BGI spokesman Reinhold Samanns, explaining the sale of the company section, which last year contributed a turnover in the low, single-figure millions with 20 employees. “Thanks to this measure, BGI EcoTech is concentrated even more clearly upon its main focus of photovoltaics,” added Samanns. By taking over Ralos Vertriebs GmbH, Michelstadt, in September 2008, the company BGI EcoTech AG (ISIN: DE 0005203004), listed on the open market, has risen to become one of Europe’s leading providers for the development, planning and construction of high-quality photovoltaics plants. “The sale of the environmental and engineering section will not affect the turnover and profit expectations communicated in September 2008,” added Samanns.
